John Anthony Thearle was born in Lismore, Australia in 1967.

He trained both in artistic and classical streams of the jewellery industry. Straddling both of these worlds ever since, his work takes its inspiration from nature's forms and materials. Then contrasts these with elements from industrial design and architecture.
