Dr. Philip Schofield is a Conjoint Professor in Fine Art at the University of Newcastle (Australia). He was previously a Professor of Biochemistry. He is interested in fusing art and science. This suite of medals is informed by the concept of morphology.

 Morphology :
1. the branch of biology concerned with the form and structure of organisms.
2. the form and structure of anything.
