|
| Petrillo
was one of the founding members of the First Street Gallery
in the late 1960's. His work has been exhibited in numerous
one-person and group exhibitions in New York. Petrillo's
work is in public and private collections both nationally
and internationally. |
|
Of
his work in this exhibition, Petrillo says:
| The
landscapes are from my property in Massachusetts.
The figurative drawings are developed from a grant
provided by the Research Foundation of the City
University of New York. The still-life is an ongoing
interest for me. Observing light as it illuminates
a particular place, while creating a moment expressing
a frame of mind, has been the inspiration for these
works |
